Jacobus) Snediker. Mother's name not known.
Background information:
Isaac^5 Van Wicklen (Paul^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes)
was b. 15 September 1765 and m. Geesje (Aga) Snedecker 19 September 1790 in the Presbyterian Church of
Greenville, Albany Co., (now Greene Co.), NY. The marriage record says Isaac
Van Weakly of Coxhackie and Yesha
Snediker of Freehold (The Dutch pronunciation of Geesje is more like Haysha, hence
Yesha; Freehold was renamed Durham in 1805 In the
1790 Census there is a James Snediker in Freehold
with 3 males over 16 and 3 females. Since Isaac named a son James this probably
is his father-in-law, perhaps originally named Jacobus Snediker--notes
from Harry Macy, Jr.) They moved some time between
the time that Isaac's father Paul received land in Upper Canada (1797) and the
birth of Mary^6 in 1799--who was born in Ontario, Canada. Some, if not all, of
the children appeared to have changed the spelling of the surname to “-lin.”
According to personal correspondence from Harry
Macy to me dated 28 August 1999, On 29 July
1784, Isaac witnessed the marriage of Thomas Warren and Rachel Drake in
Rhinebeck (Arthur Kelly, Marriage Records of Four Reformed Congregations of Old
Rhinebeck, 1971, p. 77).

Van Wicklin was b. 30 August 1794 and bap. 24 January 1796 in Oak Hill RDC, Albany Co. (near
Durham, Greene Co.) as child of "Isaac Van Weklen
and Geesje Snerker". Annatje^6 Van Wicklin was
b. 10 October 1797 and bap. 16 July 1797 Oak Hill
RDC, daughter of "Isaac Van Wyklen and Geesje Snarke. (Children born
after 1797 were born in Northumberland County, Ontario, CAN.) Mary^6 Van Wicklin was b. 7
January 1799 in Northumberland County, ONT, Canada. James^6 Van Wicklin was b.
16 January 1803 and served for a time in the Northumberland
County Militia. He m. Carissa _____ and had a son, Jonathan^7. Rachel^6 Van Wicklin was b.
28 March 1806 in Northumberland County, ONT. Garret^6
Van Wicklin was b. 4 February 1811 in
Northumberland County and m. Phebe Terril (b. 1811); Dinah^6 Van Wicklin was b.
1815, Ontario, Canada. She married Joseph Winn [b. abt
1812, d. before 1861, s/o John Winn, b. abt 1778, Dutchess County, NY] She later married Edwin Patterson [b. 1837,
Ireland; resides Cramahe; s/o Thomas and Elizabeth
Patterson] on 13 May 1866, Northumberland, Ontario. [In Ontario Marriages, 1800 to 1910 database for Edwin
Patterson and Dinah Winn, 13 May 1866 citing Northumberland, Ontario; FHL microfilm
1,030,061 Dinah is listed as b. 1830 which is 15 years different from the birth

21 April 2013 email from Joyce Carr derives information on Dinah [Van Wicklin] Winn [b. 1815] as d/o of Isaac and Lucy [Geesje] Van Wicklin and married to Joseph Winn [b. abt 1812 and d. before 1861 census when Dinah is listed as a widow of Joseph Winn. The Archives of Ontario, Series MS248-11; Reel 11 Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801-1928 indicate that Dinah Winn, b. Cramahe, res. Cramahe, d/o Isaac and Lucy Vanwicklin married 13 May 1866 Edwin Patterson, b. Ireland, res. Cramahe, s/o Thomas and Elizabeth Patterson.
