August 1995) before 1927 in NY. Like his father, Edward, Edward Roy (also known by his nickname, Rip) worked at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY. At the time of the 1930 US Census, Edward, age 31 and his wife, Frances, age 31 and children, Gloria, age 3; Edward, age 2 and Shirley, under one year were residing in Irondequoit, Monroe, NY. 

Children: Edward^10 Van Wicklin (b. 9 September 1927 and d. 27 December 1998, Montour Falls, NY); Gloria^10 Van Wicklin (b. abt. 1928) She married a Harry Parker and they had two children: Laurie^11 Parker and Thomas^11 Parker; and Shirley^10 Van Wicklin, b. about 1930. She married George Ott on 8 May 1959.

2 Feb 1919 Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. Private Edward R. Van Wicklin of No. 200 Dewey Ave has written a letter to his father, Edward Van Wicklin in which he states that he took part in the St Mihiel drive and also in the drive between Mete and Verdun. He now is with the Army of Occupation in Germany. Private Van Wicklin is 18 years old. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on June 3, 1918. From "Laurie" via 3 Mar 07 email - Our neighbors on Wimbledon Road were Peg (Frances) and Rip Van Wicklin. They lived at 81 Wimbledon and we were next door at 87. I have pictures [of the family] and some old movies of Shirley, Gloria, and Eddie when they were kids. The movies also include Rip, Peg, and Peggy's sister Ethel and husband Sid.
