Family of Abram^6 Van Wicklen
Abram^6 Van Wicklen (Jacob^5, Jacob^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1
Jeppes), b. 1821, Wolver Hollow, NY 2. Jacob^7 Van Wicklen, b. 1844, NY 4. Hannah^7 Van Wicklen, b. 1849, Bayville, NY (Census data below would appear to indicate that Jacob and Hannah had a brother, Benjamin, but more independent verification is needed. According to the 1860 US Census, Benjamin is 18 and therefore b. abt 1842, yet we have it that Abram and Elizabeth were married August of 1843. In the 1870 US Census, Benjamin is only 22 which would suggest a birth year of about 1848.)

(date not clear) (Two problems with this being Benjamin Van Wicklen on this page is the "Van Wicklin" spelling of his surname and his location in Indiana. There may have been a Canadian Van Wicklin family that migrated to Indiana and this Benjamin may be from such a family. There are Van Wicklins in Indiana and Illinois that came from Canada and have not been mapped out.) 1870 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists Abram Van Wicklen, 50, and Elizabeth, 50 with Benjamin, 22, laborer, Hannah, 22, at home.
