She was very young when her father died and her mother remarried to George Henry Parnell, in 1905. When Jennie was 18 years old she came to live in Detroit Michigan with her [McKay] cousins in a boarding house, located at 1247 Fort Street, Detroit, MI. Jennie passed away on 14 Sept 1974. Her husband, William Earle passed away in 1957.
